About international parcels

All exported goods for repair or sold need to have an export report attached.

When you send an international parcel it gets a bar-code with the shipping number and is registered. The registration guarantees traceability and confirmation of delivery. Iceland Post offers two service levels for parcels sent abroad: airmail and surface mail.
We recommend for shipments of high value that you buy an additional postal insurance, only a minimum insurance is included.

Mailing

You can register your shipment online before you bring it to a post office or Business service picks it up.
Online registration delivers shipping information directly to Iceland Post and speeds up the process.

What can I send?

Size limits vary between countries as well as delivery time. Look up the estimated delivery time, size limits and added service for each country.
Click the name of the country for more details. The information comes from the UPU database and Iceland Post can not be held liable for incorrect or missing information.

Export report

All exported goods for repair or sold need to have an export report attached. Parcels weighing less than 2 kg can be shipped as bulky letters and a customs label filled in.

Delivery

Delivery of international parcels is determined by service level (airmail or surface mail) and country of destination. Look up the estimated delivery time, size limits and added service for each country.

Nice to know

Airmail parcels are sent with the first available flight out of Iceland. Surface mail has a longer delivery time but also a better rate.

Provide your customers with better service using Business parcels with tracking of item, customs process and home delivery in the destination country.

Business parcels are available in all EU countries except Bulgari, Cyprus, Latvia, Malta and Romania. Also available to Luxembourg, Norway and Switzerland.

Mailing

Business parcels have to be mailed using online registration. Included in the rate are customs process and home delivery. Tracking is available. Sender can ask for Proof of Delivery up to a year after mailing.
