Ingimundur Sigurpálsson, Managing Director & CEO of Iceland Post
Ingimundur has served as a Managing Director and CEO of Iceland Post since 2004. He has decades of experience in business, both in the public and private sector. Before joining Iceland Post, Ingimundur was CEO of Eimskip. From 1987 to 2000 he served as mayor of Gardabær, a neighboring town of Reykjavík, and also as mayor of Akranes, another neighboring town of Reykjavík, from 1982 to 1987.
Ingimundur holds a MBA from the University of Iceland and pursued graduate studies in practical planning and development economics at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Ingimundur has served in number of roles for corporations, including director positions and management. His current posts include chairman of the board for Landsvirkjun.
Andrés Magnússon, Director of Human Resources
Andrés holds a BA in psychology from the University of Iceland and a MA in psychology from the University of Leicester in the UK. He has a wealth of experience in teaching, organizing classes, and formulating educational material. He has worked as a sessional instructor at the university level and held corporate workshops on matters of HR and management.
Andrés has served as director of HR for Iceland Post since the company was established in 1998. He previously worked as the head of HR development for Póstur og sími and as a guidance counselor and psychologist for Fjölbrautaskólinn vid Ármúla Secondary School.
Andrés has served on the boards of a number of educational institutions as well as a number of committees including those under the Ministry of Education. He has also served as the chairman of the Association of HR Directors and as a representative of the company abroad in various committees and councils on HR matters.
Anna Katrín Halldórsdóttir, Director of Marketing & Sales
Anna Katrín holds a degree in business administration from the University of Iceland and a master's degree in international business with a concentration in strategy and management from the Copenhagen Business School.
Before Anna Kartrín began working for Iceland Post as Director of Marketing and sales in 2003, she worked as a management consultant for IMG Deloitte since 2000. She consulted on a variety of matters, but most frequently in matters of strategy, performance management, marketing and operational efficiency, as well as various management summaries. Anna Katrín previously worked as the office manager for the Reydarfjördur District Office from 1995 to 1997 and as the CFO for Holiday Inn in Reykjavík from 1992 to 1994.
Helga Sigríður Böðvarsdóttir, Director of Finance & IT
Helga Sigrídur began working for Iceland Post in 2005 on various projects in the company's accounts department. Before she began working for Iceland Post, she worked for KPMG from 1996 to 2005 in Reykjavík, Fjardabyggd and Egilsstadir. She also worked for the East Iceland Tourist Office in Reykjavík from 1995 to 1996 and for the Director of Tax Investigation from 1993 to 1995.
Helga Sigrídur holds a degree in business administration from the University of Iceland and is a certified public accountant.
Hörður Jónsson, Director of Post Offices
Before Hörður began working as Director of Post offices in 2001, he served in various roles for the company, including head of service outlets. Hörður has led the extensive changes in the company's network of post offices and service outlets in recent years.
Hörður holds a degree in business administration from the University of Iceland. Before he began working for the company his employers included the City of Reykjavík, the state shipping company and IKEA. Hörður has worked extensively in organizations including serving as the chairman of the Association for Professionals in Business Administration and Economics from 1994 to 1996 and on the board of the Fram sports club from 2003 to 2006.
Tryggvi Þorsteinsson, Director of Operations
Tryggvi holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Iceland and a MS in engineering from DTH in Denmark.
Tryggvi has worked as Director of Operations for Iceland Post since 2001. He oversees operations including distribution, delivery, logistics and property management for the company. Tryggvi has served in various roles for the company including as an engineer in the optimization department, a zoning expert and the head of logistics. Before Tryggvi began working for the company he worked for others including Vöf hf., the Association for Mechanical Engineers and at the Ski Area in the Bláfjöll Mountains.
